Friday Night Open Gate

Friday night is our family time at The Gate. We gather to eat a meal, play some games, then share real life stuff with one another. We often say we “do life together” at The Gate as we are so involved in doing so many different things with each other. But this is the night we come together eye to eye and open up about what’s going on. Someone may have good news to share and we all rejoice; or someone might have bad news, and we cry together and carry each other’s burdens. It may even be we have conflict with one another we need to deal with. Or it may be Momma D brings us a word of encouragement from the Bible. No matter what happens, you can be sure of one thing: these are the nights that make us a family at The Gate. And these are our favorite nights at The Gate!!

Girls Bible Study

Weekly Bible study is held for girls in 6th – 12th grade.  We want to teach these girls that our world desperately needs a generation of women who know who they are and whose they are in Christ.  We are raising girls after God’s Own Heart.

 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not easily broken.  Ecclesiastes 4:12

Boys Bible Study

Weekly Bible study is held for boys in 6th – 12th grade.  We have a vision for raising a generation of young men with strong Christian character, who will stand out in the world, and be used of God.  A good definition of character is Christ-likeness, and the best resource for raising godly young men with character is His Word.  

Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy –  think on these things.  Philippians 4:8
