The Gate of Lenoir County offers job training programs for young men and women. Through Boys 2 Men Community Outreach, they learn the value of hard work while serving the community. The Gate partners with Lenoir Community College for High School Equivalency Diploma (GED) classes. Young women participate in “A Different Color,” brightening homes for those in need.
Lil Gaters Character Development Program nurtures godly character in K-5th grade kids through fun, Christ-centered activities. Our focus is on teaching biblical values, obedience to the Lord, and leading by example. High School Tutoring supports grades 6-12 academically and spiritually, fostering responsibility and educational priorities.
Friday Night Open Gate is our cherished family time at The Gate. We gather, eat, play, and share life’s ups and downs. Girls Bible Study empowers grades 6-12 with a strong identity in Christ. Together, we stand firm as a three-stranded cord. Stay tuned for Boys Bible Study updates!
The Gate of Lenoir County is a faith-based community center empowering youth in Kinston and Lenoir County. We offer a safe haven where young individuals can break free from hopelessness and poverty. Through tutoring, mentoring, and training, The Gate helps youth take ownership of their choices, prioritize education, and find joy in serving others. By relying on Christ’s transformative power, we empower youth to change their lives.
